Our Software Collection

Here we present our collection of software that we use… mostly are open source.

Compilers/IDE:

  • SDCC  is a retargettable, optimizing ANSI – C compiler suite that targets the Intel MCS51 based microprocessors (8031, 8032, 8051, 8052, etc.), Maxim (formerly Dallas) DS80C390 variants, Freescale (formerly Motorola) HC08 based (hc08, s08), Zilog Z80 based MCUs (z80, z180, gbz80, Rabbit 2000/3000, Rabbit 3000A, TLCS-90) and STMicroelectronics STM8. Work is in progress on supporting the Microchip PIC16 and PIC18 targets. It can be retargeted for other microprocessors.
  • MCU 8051 IDE.  MCU 8051 IDE is integrated development enviroment for microcontrollers based on 8051.
    Supported programming languages are C and assembly. It has its own assembler and support for 2 external assemblers. For C language it uses SDCC compiler.
  • GCC GNU Compiler Collection
  • CodeBlocks is a free C, C++ and Fortran IDE built to meet the most demanding needs of its users. It is designed to be very extensible and fully configurable.
  • DevCPP Bloodshed Dev-C++ is a full-featured Integrated Development Environment (IDE) for the C/C++ programming language. It uses Mingw port of GCC (GNU Compiler Collection) as it’s compiler. Dev-C++ can also be used in combination with Cygwin or any other GCC based compiler.
  • SharpDeveloper is a free IDE for C#, VB.NET and Boo projects on Microsoft’s .NET platform.
  • Qt is a cross-platform application and UI framework for developers using C++ or QML, a CSS & JavaScript like language.
  • Arduino IDE. The open-source Arduino environment makes it easy to write code and upload it to the i/o board. It runs on Windows, Mac OS X, and Linux. The environment is written in Java and based on Processing, avr-gcc, and other open source software.

Schematic Design/PCB Design

  • KiCAD   an EDA software suite for the creation of professional schematics and printed circuit boards up to 16 layers. KiCad runs on Windows, Linux and Apple OS X
  • GEDA suite offers a mature suite of free software applications for electronics design, including schematic capture, attribute management, bill of materials (BOM) generation, netlisting into over 20 netlist formats, analog and digital simulation, and printed circuit board (PCB) layout.

Programmers software:

  • AVR Dude – is a program for downloading and uploading the on-chip memories of Atmel’s AVR microcontrollers

Other software:

  • Notepad++  is a free source code editor and Notepad replacement that supports several languages. Running in the MS Windows environment, its use is governed by GPL License.
